About Us
About our school
Oakfield Primary Academy is a one-form-entry primary school serving children from Reception to Year 6. Our community is built on three simple ideas: aim high, take care of one another, and never stop being curious.
Our vision and values
We want every child who leaves us at the end of Year 6 to be confident in themselves, kind to others, and well-prepared for the next stage of their education.
Three values run through everything we do:
- Ambition — high expectations of effort, behaviour and the standard of children's work.
- Kindness — looking out for each other and treating everyone with respect.
- Curiosity — asking questions, having a go, and not being afraid to make mistakes along the way.

Tours run throughout the year
There is no substitute for seeing the school in action. We run guided tours during the school day so you can see learning happening in every classroom.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Oakfield Primary Academy is proud to hold the Eco-Schools Green Flag award. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact: we have cut our energy use with LED lighting and solar panels, removed single-use plastics from our kitchens, and expanded recycling in every classroom. Our pupil Eco-Council leads whole-school projects on biodiversity — a wildlife garden, bug hotels and community tree planting — and we encourage every family to walk, cycle or scoot to school to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions.
